Abstract
Procedimiento para la obtención de un nuevo antibiótico caracterizado porque streptomyces venezuelae A 9692 o una mutación de esta cepa, se cultiva en un caldo acuoso, que contiene una fuente de carbono y nitrógeno, así como materias inorgánicas, bajo condiciones aeróbicas, hasta que este muestra un efecto antibiótico fuerte, a continuación se aisla el antibiótico lomacidina del caldo y en caso dado, se obtienen sus sales.
