The magnitude of stretching or elongation that the tape may suffer; the speed of the driving members of the corrugating cylinders being in turn dependent on organs that respond to the position of said mobile tensioning cylinders of the belts; in combination with apparatuses that respond to a difference in the number of corrugations per unit of length that the tapes may present when passing through the two respective output cylinders, in order to apply a force to the output cylinder of the tape having the largest number of ripples per unit length, in order to delay its rotation, thus stretching the ribbon that passes through this cylinder, so that its corrugations coincide or register with those of the other tape.
