Abstract

Freno de tambor de un vehículo, que comprende una placa de apoyo de freno (2), un soporte de guarnición de freno (4) y un cuerpo de apoyo (6), en donde el soporte de guarnición de freno (4) está dispuesto sobre la placa de apoyo de freno (2) de forma basculante a través del cuerpo de apoyo (6), de tal modo que el soporte de guarnición de freno (4) puede bascular a lo largo de un plano de basculamiento, cuya inclinación con relación a la placa de apoyo de freno (2) es variable, en donde el cuerpo de apoyo (6) presenta una superficie de apoyo con simetría de rotación alrededor de su eje de apoyo (X), caracterizado porque están previstas regiones de fijación en lados frontales (16) opuestos del cuerpo de apoyo (6), para alojar el cuerpo de apoyo (6) al menos parcialmente en una región de alojamiento (12) del soporte de guarnición de freno (4) y/o en una región de alojamiento (20) de la placa de apoyo de freno (2).
