Abstract

Método y aparato para manipular el producto alimenticio esterilizado. Un método para manipular un producto alimenticio esterilizado e incluye esterilizar un contenedor intermodal que incluye una carcasa rígida que tiene una forma alargada con extremos cerrados opuestos y un orificio de descarga en uno de los extremos cerrados. El contenedor intermodal incluye también al menos un conjunto de bastidores de soporte que soporta la carcasa rígida y configurado para permitir el giro entre una orientación generalmente horizontal y una orientación generalmente vertical. El método puede incluir también llenar asépticamente el contenedor intermodal con el producto alimenticio esterilizado, y transportar el contenedor intermodal lleno en la orientación generalmente horizontal a través de al menos uno de un ferrocarril, camión y barco y manteniendo al mismo tiempo el producto alimenticio esterilizado en condiciones asépticas.
