Abstract

Door frame group and front frame of the cabinet side of refrigerating cabinets, comprising two complementary bodies, one being a front frame (1) and the other being a door frame (200) and both being substantially shaped as a frame , which are intended to be associated with an access opening of a refrigerator cabinet in order to provide the cabinet with at least one door (2), in which the front frame (1) is constituted by first elements (131) that they are made at least partially in metal and are coated with a few second elements (132) made of an insulating material, characterized in that the door frame (200) is constituted by first elements (21) that are made at least partially in metal and which are coated with a few second elements (22) made of an insulating material.

Description

Door frame group and cabinet side front frame for refrigerator cabinets.
The present invention generally relates to the field of exposure and sale of goods in general, in particular perishable products, usually food products.
It is known that, in the sector mentioned above, the use of refrigerated displays is widespread. By exhibitors reference is made, from now on, to cabinets, which usually comprise shelves, 10 baskets and similar elements, in which the products for sale are arranged.
At least one wall of the display cabinets has at least one access opening that is closed by at least one door, advantageously articulated with the structure of the cabinet.
The door comprises at least one transparent panel that usually extends over the entire surface development thereof, with the exception of the perimeter area.
Inside the cabinet there is a special lighting device.
20 Obviously, the cabinet has a suitable cooling system.
In similar refrigeration cabinets of known type, at least one access opening is usually delimited by a body, which is generally configured as a frame, and referred to hereinafter as the front frame of the cabinet, and therefore less a door comprises a complementary body, also in
25 form of a frame, referred to hereafter as a door frame and which supports the transparent panel which is usually constituted by one or more sheets of tempered glass.
The prior art describes the use of metal elements to make the door frame and the front frame, generally aluminum, known and preferred for its good thermal conductivity properties. Next, the objective of this report will be revealed.
In particular, the elements have a relatively complex cross-section which comprises, among other elements, a hollow part that exerts the function of providing a seat for the installation of heating means, usually an electrical resistance.
35 The electrical heater is intended to heat the door frame and / or the front frame to prevent unintended condensation, such as frost or water droplets, from forming.
It is known that to avoid condensation formation the prior art describes the use of two electrical resistors, one associated with the front frame and the other installed in the door frame.
As mentioned above, the door frame and the front frame are made of a metallic material, usually of aluminum, in order to provide the necessary mechanical properties to the cabinet while maintaining the transverse dimensions of the cabinet so limited as possible.
In addition, each metal frame, which incorporates a corresponding electrical resistance, is also a good thermal conductor, heating completely and, therefore, diffusing heat also to unwanted parts and to areas where heat is used to prevent formation of condensation
In fact, in order to create the desired effect, that is, to avoid the formation of condensation, a quantity of heat is required which is generally much higher than necessary and, therefore, much more expensive (also with respect to energy conservation).
Obviously, the higher electricity consumption is reflected in the general operating costs of the retail establishment provided with cabinets of this type. These additional operating costs end up having a clear impact on the consumer.
An example of said door frame and front frame groups for the side of a refrigerator cabinet according to the preamble of claim 1 is described in EP 0 388 550.
The main objective of the present invention is to provide a product that eliminates the drawbacks specified above.
A further objective of the present invention is to achieve the aforementioned objective while providing a simple construction solution that is also rational, reliable, robust and economical.
Said objectives are achieved by means of a group of door frame and front frame on the side of a cabinet for refrigerating cabinets that has the characteristics indicated in the main claim attached hereto.
Advantageous and preferred embodiments of the present invention are described in the dependent claims.
As for the aforementioned thermal or refractory material, it is preferably constituted by a synthetic material, usually polyvinyl chloride, that is, PVC.
Due to the solution described above, the problems indicated in the preamble herein are eliminated. It has been found that, in non-freezer refrigerators with cold compartments intended to operate at temperatures between 0 ° and 5 ° Celsius, the use of insulating material in at least one of the two bodies of the group prevents the formation of condensation without any need to incorporate heating means. This allows not only to save energy but also to save construction since the heating means are no longer used.
In freezer refrigerators, however, intended to operate at temperatures below zero, in which heating elements are required, the refractory material usually prevents at least a good part of the heat that is released from the heating means (usually a electrical resistance) reach the entire unit, as it propagates only in the immediate proximity of the heating means around the transparent glass.
Therefore, considerable energy savings can be achieved, thus addressing the challenge of energy conservation, while also providing economic advantages over the operating costs of the point of sale that uses the cabinets according to the present invention, the advantages of which are transmitted to consumers in terms of product prices.
Furthermore, due to the proposed solution of the present invention, an additional advantage is obtained, which comprises reducing the manufacturing cost of the door frame and front frame group.
In fact, thanks to the reduced thermal dispersion, a simple electrical resistance can be provided, which can be associated, for example, with the part of the front frame of the unit body, with the consequent elimination of any electrical resistance hitherto installed until the moment in the frame of the door and the consequent saving in the installation costs and in the corresponding wiring.
The construction features and advantages of the present invention will become apparent from the following detailed description, made with reference to the attached figures of the drawings, which illustrate only by way of non-limiting example a special and preferred embodiment of The present invention.
Figure 1 is a front elevation of the group of the present invention;
Figure 2 is section II-II of Figure 1, on an enlarged scale;
Figure 3 is section III-III of Figure 1, on an enlarged scale;
Figure 4 is an enlarged view of section IV-IV of Figure 1.
With particular reference to Figure 1 of the drawings, it can be seen that the group of the present invention, indicated in its entirety by the numerical reference number 99, comprises a body shaped as a frame, to which reference is referred to hereafter as front frame 1, which in the illustrated example presents a rectangular shape with a horizontal development.
The sides 10 of the front frame 1 are constituted by a shaped element, visible in the section of figures 2 and 4, made of a thermo-fugitive material, such as PVC. Observed in section, the sides 10 comprise a flat frame 12 that is parallel to the resting plane of the front frame 1 and protrudes externally from the opening occupied by it, and a channel 100 that opens towards the flat frame 12 and is partially located surrounded by reinforcement grooves.
The channel 100 and the corresponding reinforcement grooves are made in a single piece with the flat frame 12.
The front frame 1 is intended to be installed in an adapted joint disposed on the wall of a refrigerator cabinet, which is not illustrated for the sake of simplicity, using suitable fixing means such as screws inserted in through holes 11 (figures 2 and 4) provided in framework 12; the upper and lower horizontal sides of the frame 12 end in a perpendicular flange 120 that extends along their total length (see Figure 4).
In the illustrated embodiment, the opening defined by the front frame 1 is subdivided into four identical spaces (see Figure 1) by three identical intermediate uprights 13 that are comprised between the end uprights of the front frame 1 and that join the horizontal sides upper and lower thereof.
5 Obviously, the spaces may have different widths.
Naturally, the number of spaces does not present any importance for the present invention, nor its arrangement, that is, they could be arranged vertically instead of adjacent as shown, in which case the front frame 10 will present a vertical development.
The intermediate and extreme uprights have a rear lamp 33 (see Figures 2 to 4) and the spaces defined by the uprights are closed separately by a door 2, which in the illustrated example opens to the right side (Figure 1).
15 As clearly illustrated in Figure 3, each intermediate upright 13 is constituted by an element that has a substantially complex cross-section and is symmetrical with respect to a vertical plane perpendicular to the resting plane of the front frame 1.
In particular, the uprights 13 are assembled in groups and comprise an inner element, or core 131, to which a surrounding outer element, or cover 132, is fixed, for example by overmolding.
The inner element 131 exerts structural functions and is made of metal, in the illustrated embodiment, aluminum.
25 The outer element 132 provides the heat-absorbing properties to the stud 13 and is preferably made of the same material as the front frame 1, that is, PVC.
On the side thereof facing the doors 2, the uprights 13 have a channel 130 (see Figure 3) that develops along its total length, which is similar to the channel 100 on the sides 10 of the front frame 1 .
Small channels 44 are disposed along the free edge of the outer part of the channel 100 and along the free edges of the opposite sides of the channel 130, the small channels 44 having a longitudinal mouth facing the doors 2.
35 The small channels 44 function as seats intended to support and accommodate the corresponding electrical resistors 55.
The small channels 44 are closed by metal plates 66 which close the channels 100 and 130. The magnetic bands 40 incorporated in the seal 77, which extends along the outer peripheral lines of the interior surfaces of the doors 2 , rest against the metal plates 66.
Each single door 2 comprises a frame-shaped body, or frame 200, and has a space that is occupied by a transparent panel 20, which in the present embodiment is constituted by three parallel panels 45 of tempered glass that are separated each other by two hermetically sealed air chambers advantageously with dry closing.
The sides of the frame 200 are individually constituted by a metallic element 21 that has a relatively complex cross section and is asymmetric (see Figures 2 to 4). The metallic element 21 comprises two chambers that cover the total length of the element 21 and separated by a wall, and is coated externally, for example by overmolding, with an outer envelope 22 made of PVC.
Finally, a channel is arranged on the surface of the element 22 oriented towards the front frame 1, in which channel the sealing gasket 77 is snapped using a special foot 177.
55 As mentioned above, with the door frame / front frame group 1-200 of the present invention, the intended effect of preventing the formation of condensation with an electrical power consumption much lower than that of the groups of known type and the like.
60 The specific comparative analysis of existing refrigeration cabinets of similar type and capacity has demonstrated the above. Said analyzes have shown that the cabinets equipped according to the present invention have a power consumption of at least 50% lower compared to the cabinets according to the prior art.
65 Obviously the embodiment illustrated above is not the only one possible.
For example, resistors 55 can be perfectly installed in a compatible manner in door frame 200 instead of front frame 1.
Naturally, the present invention can also be adapted to display units of different types of refrigerators for the described cabinet, for example, it can be used in chest-type refrigerators.

Claims (9)

1. Group of door frame and front frame of cabinet side of refrigerator cabinets, comprising two complementary bodies, one being a front frame (1) and the other being a door frame (200) and 5 being both substantially formed in frame shape, which are intended to be associated with an access opening of a refrigerating cabinet in order to provide the cabinet with at least one door (2), in which the front frame (1) is constituted by first elements ( 131) that are made at least partially in metal and that are coated with a few second elements (132) made of an insulating material, characterized in that the door frame (200) is constituted by first elements (21) that are made by the
10 less partially in metal and which are coated with a few second elements (22) made of an insulating material.
2. Group according to claim 1, characterized in that the sides (10) of the front frame (1) are constituted by
an element made entirely of a thermo-fugitive material, comprising a frame (12) that is parallel to a plane of the front frame (1) and a channel that opens in a direction facing the frame (12).
3. Group according to claim 2, characterized in that a space delimited by the front frame (1) is separated into at least two parts by an upright (13) having a constant cross section, the upright (13) being composed and comprising an inner metallic element coated by an outer element
20 made of a thermosetting material.
4. Group according to claim 1, characterized in that the sides (10) of the front frame (200) constituting said at least one door are individually constituted by a first inner metal element, to which a second outer element is associated, the second element made of a fireproof material.
5. Group according to any of the preceding claims, characterized in that the thermo-fugitive material is a synthetic material.

7. Group according to claim 1, characterized in that the door frame and / or the front frame have seats intended to accommodate electric heating means (55).
