Abstract
Un procedimiento para la separación de protactinio uranio y torio de una solución acuosa de nítrico de torio irradiado con neutrones, procedimiento que comprende la puesta en contacto, en condiciones netas de deficiencia en iones nitrato, de dicha solución con una solución orgánica de un fosfato trialkilo en un diluyente orgánico inerte, extrayendo asi preferentemente el uranio y el torio en la fase orgánica resultante mientras el protactinio y los productos de fisión quedan confinados en la fase acuosa resultante, el lavado o limpieza de dicha fase orgánica par despojarla toda pequeña cantidad de protactinio y productos de fisión con una solución acuosa de una sal de nitrato orgánica, al separación de dicha fase acuosa conteniendo protactinio con respecto a dicha fase orgánica conteniendo uranio y torio, y después la separación de dicho torio y dicho uranio en la citada fase orgánica separada.
