Description

The present invention relates to the devices for conditioning and applying cosmetic products, including those for treatment, on keratin fibers, in particular hair, eyelashes or eyebrows, for example mask.

By "cosmetic product" is meant within the meaning of the present invention, a product such as that defined in Directive 93/35 / EEC of June 14, 1993 amending Directive 76/768 / EEC.

It is known from the patent application EP 1 129 640 a conditioning and application device comprising a draining member constituted by a foam block incorporating magnetic particles.

It is also known from the international application WO 02/03832 a device comprising a mask application brush, this soul brush being twisted and comprising hairs containing at least one magnetized or magnetizable body.

Also known from EP 1 169 941 and EP 1 342 428 are combs for eyelashes or eyebrows comprising magnetic particles.

There is a need to create new conditions for applying a product, in particular a makeup or treatment product and, if necessary, new makeup effects.

There is also a need to otherwise drain an applicator out of the container containing the product to be applied.

There is also a need to generate interactions between the product to be applied and the container that contains it.

The invention provides in particular to respond to at least one of these needs.

It achieves this thanks to a device for conditioning and applying a product, which includes:

-a container containing the product, - an applicator comprising an application body that can be

introduced into the container to extract product, and

-a magnetizable or magnetic draining member, arranged so that it is traversed by the application organ when its exit from the container takes place. This draining organ is made of a material impervious to the product, for example non-honeycomb.

The material of the draining organ is different from an open cell foam

or semi-open. The material of the draining organ is thus not porous and is not deeply loaded with product.

The use of a material impervious to the product, for example non-alveolar, to make the draining organ can, for example, allow the incorporation of a relatively high proportion of magnetizable or magnetic particles in the draining organ, and therefore subjecting the application organ to a relatively important magnetic field if desired.

The draining organ may not have magnetic properties until after it has been exposed to a magnetic field, before or after the assembly of the device.

The draining organ can be magnetizable and the application organ is magnetic. The draining organ can also be magnetic and the magnetizable application organ. The draining organ and the application organ can be magnetic.

The magnetic or magnetizable particles may comprise ferrites, rare earths or oxides of black iron or white iron, for example. The size of the magnetic particles can be between approximately 1 µm and 1 mm.

The applicator may or may not be magnetizable or magnetic. The applicator may comprise a comb or a brush comprising a magnetic or magnetizable support, in particular a support comprising magnetic or magnetizable particles. In the case of a comb, the applicator comprises teeth configured to apply the product on the eyelashes or eyebrows. The teeth can be made in one piece with the support, in particular by molding a thermoplastic material and can comprise magnetic or magnetizable particles dispersed in this material.

In the case where the applicator is magnetic or magnetizable and the product is too, magnetic interactions between the product and the applicator can be used to improve the distribution of the product over the applicator.

The magnetic field generated by the draining organ in particular may also have bacteriostatic properties, for example.

The draining member may be made at least in part with one of the materials from at least the following list: thermoplastic, thermosetting, elastomeric materials, in particular thermoplastic elastomers and catalytic resins and / or in a polleolefin, in particular polyethylene.

The draining organ can be made in various shapes and present, for example, over a fraction of its length a portion of constant interior section.

The device may comprise at least one part molded in plastic material, for example the draining member, the body of the container and / or the applicator, the plastic material used for example comprising one of the materials at least from the following list: thermoplastic, thermosetting, elastomeric materials, in particular thermoplastic elastomers and catalytic resins.

In an exemplary embodiment, the magnetic or magnetizable particles are dispersed in the molded part in plastic material. The plastic material may comprise between 1 and 90% of magnetic particles, in particular between 3 and 80%, even between 5 and 70%.

The applicator can be molded in one piece with a rod, the latter being integral with a gripping body. As a variant, the applicator can be welded, crimped, crimped or glued to a joint rod of a gripping body. The latter can advantageously constitute a closure cap of the container containing the product, the cap may have an internal fillet suitable for cooperating with an external filleting practiced on a neck of the container.

The rod may have a narrowing, in order, for example, not to mechanically request the draining member when the rod is in position in the container, in the absence of use.

As indicated above, the product may comprise magnetic or magnetizable particles. The product can for example comprise between 0.2 and 50% by mass of magnetic or magnetizable particles, in particular when the product is a paste or a cream. The product can also be a free powder. In this case, the product may comprise more than 50% by mass of magnetic or magnetizable particles, even substantially 100% of magnetic or magnetizable particles, if necessary.

The term "particles" should not be understood in a limited sense and encompasses particles of any form, for example lamellar, spheroidal or fibers. Thus, the magnetic or magnetizable particles can be at least partly magnetic or magnetizable fibers. The magnetic or magnetizable particles contained in the product may be coated or uncoated particles, colored or not. The particles can be incorporated into fibers of plastic material for example. The particles can be permanently attractive or not.

It is possible, acting on the magnetic interactions between the fibers and the applicator and / or the draining organ, to exploit the reactivity of the fibers to an external magnetic field, in particular its alignment with the lines of the magnetic field, for the purpose for example of orienting the fibers in a particular way when the loading with product of the applicator takes place, when an eventual draining takes place or when the application takes place, for example to increase the amount of product on the applicator, to facilitate the application and / or improve makeup quality.

A magnetic field can be created in particular between the draining member and the applicator and the fibers can be aligned in this field.

In the case where magnetic or magnetizable fibers are contained in the product, the fact that they are magnetic or magnetizable can also allow a certain organization of the product in the container and / or on the treated surface.

The device may or may not be devoid of a monolithic magnet.

The applicator is, in an exemplary embodiment, removable, being at least partially removed from the container when the application takes place. The draining organ may be configured to come into contact with the application body when the applicator is removed. The draining organ may also be configured to allow the application organ to pass through the draining organ without contact with the latter.

Figure 1 shows a device 1 for conditioning and applying a cosmetic product P, for example make-up or treatment, in particular a mask, comprising a container 2 containing the product P, a draining member 3 and an applicator 7.

The latter comprises a closure cap 8 which also constitutes a gripping member connected by a rod 9 to an application shaft 10, with a longitudinal axis.

The closure cap 8 has an inner thread, not visible in Figure 1, arranged to cooperate with a corresponding thread 6 made in the neck 5 of the container 2 and close the container 2 in a sealed manner.

In the example considered, the draining member 3 is made with a collar 4 that rests axially on the neck 5 of the container 2.

The draining member 3 is advantageously made by molding material, in particular thermoplastic, and comprises in the described example magnetic or magnetizable particles 15 dispersed in the material that forms the draining organ 3.

The draining member 3 may or may not come into contact with the rod 9 in the closed position of the device. The rod 9 may for example have a narrowing (not shown). This narrowing may allow the draining member 3 to be deformed when the applicator closes the container.

The application member 10 is constituted in the example described by a comb, comprising a support 11 and teeth 12 made in one piece with the support 11 by molding material, for example by injection.

The support 11 comprises in the example considered magnetic or magnetizable particles 15, dispersed in the material that constitutes it. When the teeth 12 are made in one piece with the support 11, they also comprise magnetic or magnetizable particles 15, but it does not depart from the frame of the present invention when the teeth 12 are not made in one piece with the support 11 and they do not include magnetic or magnetizable particles 15.

The plastic materials used to manufacture all or part of the device, and in particular the application member 10 and / or the drain element 3, can be selected, for example, from the following list: thermoplastics, thermosetting, elastomers, in particular elastomers thermoplastics, and catalytic resins.

The plastic material may comprise between 1 and 90% by mass of magnetic or magnetizable particles, in particular between 3 and 80%, even between 5 and 70%. Magnetic or magnetizable particles can for example be made of one of the materials in the following list: ferrites, rare earths, and more generally

any natural or synthetic particle that has magnetic properties, in particular white iron particles or black or white iron oxides.

The particles may be coated, for example comprising a core, magnetic or not, wrapped with a coating, magnetic or not. The particles may have any shape and be, for example, of an average size between about 1 µm and about 1 mm. The particles may for example be white iron particles encapsulated in a colored coating.

The use of particles comprising white iron may be preferred when it is desired that the particles lose their magnetization relatively quickly, while the magnetism of the ferrites is more durable.

In the example considered, the rod 9 does not comprise magnetic or magnetizable particles, but does not depart from the framework of the present invention when the rod 9 also comprises a charge of magnetic or magnetizable particles.

The applicator 10 can be molded in one piece with the rod 9 or applied on it, and fixed on it, for example by gluing, welding or crimping.

The product P may comprise magnetic or magnetizable particles, in particular between 0.2 and 50% by mass of said particles when the product is a cream

Said difference in orientation of the fiber F can be caused, for example, by the fact that the application elements 10 of Figures 2 and 3 comprise particles 15 that have been magnetized with different orientations, in particular perpendicular to each other.

It is understood that depending on the orientation of the fibers on the application organ, the behavior of the product when it passes through the draining organ and at the time of application may be different.

The fibers used can be loaded, for example, in approximately 40%

of ferrites, it being preferable to have less than 60% ferrites, in order to keep them

flexibility. The fibers can be made of a polyamide, for example Nylon®, PET, PE, PP, Pebax®.

The fibers may be for example hydroabsorbents. Such fibers have been described in patent application US 10/161 726.

In the exemplary embodiment just described, the application member 10 is constituted by a comb, but does not depart from the framework of the present invention when the application member 10 has any other configuration.

The application member 10 can, for example, comprise at least two walls 18 that form between them a cavity 16 suitable for retaining product, at least one groove 17 extending along a longitudinal axis Y, the product contained in the cavity 16 being able to to be distributed to be applied by the groove 17. The application member 10 can also be constituted by a brush comprising hairs 21 retained between the branches of a core 22 constituted by a metallic wire folded in a U and twisted, as illustrated in Figure 5.

The core 22 may be magnetized and / or the hairs 21 may contain magnetic or magnetizable fibers or other magnetic or magnetizable particles.

The soul 22 can be rectilinear or not, and the hairs 21 can all be of the same length or have different lengths, so that they give the brush of Figure 5 a particular shape.
