Abstract

Adjustable furniture drawer structure.

Adjustable structure for furniture drawer, composed of a front panel (2) adjustable vertically and horizontally, two side panels (3), a base (4) and a panel rear (5) of variable composition characterized because, the system for fixing and adjusting the front panel (2) is composed of two horizontal regulation subsets (8) and two subsets of vertical regulation (9) for each drawer.

During assembly and adjustment of the drawer, enter vertical and horizontal regulations avoid interference, being the performance of the two independent subsets, each of them maintaining their respective position. This allows that to regulate the front panel of the drawer, start from a initial position, without loss of reference.

Object of the invention

The industrial sector to which this belongs invention is that of furniture manufacturing.

It is a drawer structure that has of a horizontal and vertical regulation system, totally front panel independent.

Background of the invention

Within the different drawer systems of "double wall", there are several ways to perform front panel regulations. There are cases in which these depend from each other; that is, by vertically regulating the position of the front, before the adjustment of the regulation must be released horizontal, or vice versa. It is also the case that once regulated the front panel, if you want to change your position is lost reference.

In other types of drawers it happens that when lacking these of a locking system, when mounting the front panel and regulate its position, it must overcome a resistance of the anchoring system, which at the same time forces it.

For mounting the rear panel, the systems current use different parts or added to a base piece, depending on the material used, for example aluminum, board chipboard or sheet steel.

In order to solve the problems described, the author of this invention has developed a new product described below.

Description of the invention

The adjustable structure of the drawer object of this invention, has several systems for regulating and fixing the front panel and also side and rear panels.

These systems are as follows:

1 - Front panel fixing system : It consists of two hook parts screwed inside, in which two "self-guiding" hooks belonging to the vertical fixing and regulation subset located on each side panel are attached. These hooks remain in working position by the action of a spring that keeps them retained. To unlock them, you must first turn a locking screw and then slide a skate that unhooks these hooks allowing disassembly.

Each of these two pieces of hitch, belonging to the horizontal regulation subset, is formed by a tubular body of rectangular section, disposing at one end of two ears pierced for front panel attachment; of a threaded hole in its center perpendicular to its vertical plane where the screw is housed horizontal regulation, manually operated, and on the other end of two holes of rectangular section that allows the hook harpoon hook "self-guides".

2 - Front panel regulation system .

2.1 - Horizontal regulation: It is done by turning a molded head screw, designed for operation manual.

2.2 - Vertical regulation: It is done by a screw and a wheel that, when manually operated, displaces the vertical regulation subset mounted inside the panel side.

The key to avoiding interference between vertical and horizontal regulations, is the independent performance of the two subsets, each maintaining its position respective. This allows to regulate the front panel of the drawer, starting from an initial position, without losing the reference.

3 - System for fixing the rear panel to the side panels : This is a set of two pieces (right and left), which allow the rear panel to be mounted, indistinctly, made of chipboard or extruded aluminum. If the latter is used, small expansion plugs must be used.

4 - System for fixing the drawer to the guide : Through a perforated window in the guide, a piece is inserted, which is mounted inside the side panel. This ergonomically designed piece prevents if the drawer receives any blow from the bottom, it can be disassembled. It also prevents that when you pull the drawer strongly, it reaches

5 - Front panel locking system: This system prevents it from being unintentionally disassembled, since two independent operations are needed for this. The system has two hooks that hold the front panel, among which there is a piece that turns 90º by blocking them, preventing them from closing.

In addition the rotation of this piece, causes a tightening of the front panel on the side, since the hooks attract the front on the side. In this way all the regulation set, without interfering with the regulations of the drawer front panel.

These described systems provide a series of advantages over the known ones which are the following:

- Vertical and horizontal regulation system totally independent.

- Regulation without using tools. further the parts that allow these regulations are identified by colors, to highlight and facilitate identification by the Username.

- System locking or securing system of regulation and anchoring of the front panel.

- Fixing rear panel with single piece.

Figure 1 is a perspective view of the structure of a disassembled drawer in which its main components.

Figure 2 is a perspective view in the that the panel fixing and regulation system is observed front to the side panels and in turn the set at two guides that are screwed to the furniture.

Figure 3A shows in detail the components of the fixing and adjustment subset of the front panel to the panel side.

Figure 4A shows a detail of the fixation from the connecting piece (3.1) to the side panel (3).

Figure 4B is a view of the fixation of the rear panel of chipboard (6) to the connecting piece (3.1).

Figure 4C is a view of the fixation of the aluminum rear panel (5) to the connecting piece (3.1), by expansion plugs (3.2) and screws (3.3).

Preferred Embodiment of the Invention

Between the different types of structures Adjustable drawers for furniture, which can be manufactured by taking as the basis of this invention, the preferred embodiment is that describe below:

Previous design and manufacturing of all described components of the different sets and subsets of fixing and regulation, the drawer is assembled.

The rear panel (5) or (6) can be made of wood agglomerated or aluminum. The two side panels (3) are extruded aluminum profiles.

First it is screwed into each panel side (3) the connecting piece (3.1) using the screws (3.5) as seen in Figure 4A. Then if you choose the panel agglomerated rear (6), it is screwed to the connecting piece (3.1) using the screws (3.4), if you choose the rear panel of aluminum (5), the studs are previously placed under pressure expansion (3.2) in housings that have the connecting piece (3.1), then the rear panel (5) is placed and finally fixed in position by adjusting the screws (3.3).

To mount the front panel (2), previously they must fix the two coupling parts (8.1) of the subset of horizontal regulation (8) placing them as shown in Figure 2.

The two subsets (9) are previously set to each support (10) clipping them with the adjustment screw vertical (9.6). This support (10) is then fixed to each panel lateral by a rivet.

The base (4) is fixed with the screws (4.1) to the side panels (3) and the rear panel, in the case that it be made of aluminum (5).

Finally, the side panels (3) are placed in their respective guides (7) introducing the nail (3.6) in the window (7.1), then applying light pressure, the panel is placed front connecting the hook parts (8.1) with the hooks (9.3) of each subset (9).

Then the regulation of the front panel position regulating its horizontal position by rotating the screw (8.2) and the vertical position turning the wheels (9.7). To perform such regulation, only one screw is available (8.2), since if we had two, we should act simultaneously on both to be able to move the front panel horizontally (2).

The process concludes by blocking the hooks (9.3) turning 90º, the blocking pieces (9.5).

Once nature is sufficiently described of this invention, as well as a practical application thereof, it only remains to add that both its shape and the materials and manufacturing procedure, are subject to modifications, provided that they do not substantially affect the characteristics which are claimed below.

Claims (12)

Adjustable structure for furniture drawer, consisting of a front panel (2) adjustable vertically and horizontally, two side panels (3), a base (4) and a rear panel (5) of variable composition characterized by the system of Fixing and adjusting the front panel (2) is composed of a subset of horizontal regulation (8) and two subsets of vertical regulation (9) for each drawer. 2. Adjustable structure for furniture drawer, according to claim one, characterized in that the vertical regulation subset (9) is composed of a frame (9.1), a skate (9.2), two hooks (9.3), a spring (9.4), a locking piece (9.5), a vertical adjustment screw (9.6), a vertical adjustment wheel (9.7) and a support (10). 3. Adjustable structure for furniture drawer, according to claim two, characterized in that the two hooks are located in the same plane, with the harpoon facing outwards, each of them having an axis of fixation and rotation. 4. Adjustable structure for furniture drawer, according to claim two and three, characterized in that the spring (9.4) is located between the two hooks (9.3), fixed between two appendages of both hooks (9.3), forcing the opening out of the angle which form said hooks when rotating on their respective axes. 5. Adjustable structure for furniture drawer, according to claim 2, characterized in that it has the skate (9.2) that links the two hooks (9.3) by its external back of slightly obtuse contour, forcing its closure and release of the hook, when sliding on said hooks (9.3). 6. Adjustable structure for furniture drawer, according to claim 2, characterized in that the locking piece (9.5) allows two working positions: 0º in free position and 90º in hook locking position (9.3), whose central parts tilt over the locking screw (9.5). 7. Adjustable structure for furniture drawer, according to claim 2, characterized in that the vertical adjustment wheel (9.7) and manual drive is arranged on the vertical screw axis (9.6). 8. Adjustable structure for furniture drawer, according to claim 2, characterized in that the horizontal regulation subset is fixed on a support (10) by clipping the end of the vertical adjustment screw (9.6), on both pieces. 9. Adjustable structure for furniture drawer, according to claim one, characterized in that the horizontal regulation subset (8) is composed of a coupling piece (8.1) and a horizontal regulation screw (8.2). 10. Adjustable structure for furniture drawer, according to claim 9, characterized in that the coupling piece (8.1) is formed by a tubular body of rectangular section, having at one end two pierced ears for fixing to the front panel (2); of a threaded hole in its center perpendicular to its vertical plane where the horizontal regulation screw (8.2) is housed, manually operated, and at the other end of two holes of rectangular section that allows the hook harpoons to be hooked ( 9.3). 11. Adjustable structure for furniture drawer, according to claim one characterized in that the two side panels (3) are extruded aluminum profiles and each one disposes at its opposite end to the front of the drawer of versatile joining pieces (3.1) for fixing the rear panel, be it aluminum or chipboard. 12. Adjustable structure for furniture drawer, according to claim eleven characterized in that, the union piece (3.1) has housings for expansion plugs (3.2) of plastic that allow fixing the aluminum rear panel which is an extruded profile.
