Abstract

    una cara de impacto blindada continua definida en una periferia, fabricada en un material compuesto que comprende una pluralidad de losas de blindaje embebidas en una matriz polimérica que está reforzada estructuralmente por medio de una capa de tejido de fibras.

  2. 2. El panel de blindaje de la reivindicación 1, en el que:

    la periferia comprende un borde adaptado para ser usado en una relación de solape con otra superficie.

  3. 3. El panel blindado de las reivindicaciones 1 o 2, en el que:
    \quad
    la cara de impacto blindada está contorneada.

  4. 4. El panel de blindaje de una de las reivindicaciones anteriores, en el que:

    las losas de blindaje son cerámicas.

  5. 5. El panel de blindaje de una de las reivindicaciones anteriores, en el que:

    el tejido de fibras de refuerzo se teje y se selecciona de entre un grupo que consiste en: polímero de aramida, vidrio, carbono, celulosa y combinaciones de éstos.

  6. 6. El panel de blindaje de cualquiera de la reivindicaciones anteriores, en el que:

    la cara de impacto blindada continua está provista de al menos una de: una capa de losas de blindaje de apoyo y una pluralidad de capas de losas de blindaje en relación de solape.

  7. 7. El panel de blindaje de cualquiera de las reivindicaciones 2 a 6, en el que:

    el borde periférico adaptado para una relación de solape comprende un material compuesto con dos capas de losas de blindaje, las capas de losas en una relación de solapamiento escalonado, con una de las capas de losas extendiéndose más hacia fuera en la dirección periférica que la otra capa de losas, formado un rebaje dimensionado y conformado para recibir un borde correspondiente de un panel de blindaje contiguo.

  8. 8. El panel de blindaje de la reivindicación 7, en el que:

    el borde periférico adaptado para una relación de solape se forma:
    fabricando el panel de blindaje en un molde con el contorno apropiado, teniendo el borde periférico un perfil escalonado con una porción inferior y una superior, comprendiendo la porción inferior tejido de fibras y panel de blindaje embebido en la matriz de polímero, careciendo la porción superior de las losas de blindaje y prolongándose hacia fuera desde la porción inferior;
    fabricando en un molde una tira de perfil plano adaptada para ajustar sobre la porción superior, tira de perfil plano que comprende una pluralidad de losas de blindaje y tejido de fibras embebido en la matriz polimérica; y
    uniendo la tira de perfil plano sobre la porción superior.

  9. 9. Un sistema de blindaje para un vehículo o similar, que comprende:
    \quad
    al menos dos paneles de blindaje de la reivindicación 2, en el que al menos una porción de la periferia de cada uno de los paneles de blindaje define un borde de costura interna del sistema de blindaje, con cada una de dichas porciones de periferia en una relación de solape con el borde de costura interna correspondiente de otro panel de blindaje.

  10. 10. El sistema de blindaje de la reivindicación 9 en el que:

    al menos uno de los paneles de blindaje tiene una cara de impacto blindada contorneada.
