Improvements in devices for extracting a liquid from a container, characterized in that they comprise a tubular body part, prepared to move with reciprocating movement back and forth, through a closure element in a neck or other hole in the container; separate stops along the body part, to define limits for reciprocating movement; a liquid inlet passage to the body part; a liquid outlet passage through the longitudinal wall of the body part; a hand-operated valve associated with a liquid passage; an air reservoir placed within the rest of the body part and separated from the rest of it; an air inlet passage arranged through the longitudinal wall of the body part and in communication with the air tank, and an air outlet passage from the tank thereof to communicate with the exterior of the body part, by the liquid inlet passage and/or through the rest of the body part; the air inlet and liquid outlet passages are located in front of one of the stops; the liquid inlet passage is positioned in front of the liquid exit passage; the air outlet passage is positioned to meet, when the device is horizontally oriented with the liquid outlet passage directed downward, above the level of the liquid outlet passage.
