Abstract

The ball 1 represented in the drawing is consisting of a spherical foam block 2, emptied at its center  3, about 30 cm outside diameter. This block of foam 2 forms the elastic outer layer according to the invention.

The elasticity of the foam is sufficient to confer on the ball an ability to bounce as a result of a crash against the ground or any hard surface or as a result of an impulse given by a kick.

Inside this foam sphere, and concentric with this, there is a rubber cube 4 that occupies all the recess 3 formed in the center of the foam sphere.

The rubber hub 4 constitutes a rigid core which is not suitable for rolling.

As long as the ball is normally used, its outer layer 2 deforms elastically and, between two shocks, the foam sphere again takes its initial form, represented in Figure 1

If a child steps on the ball, its outer layer it deforms between the child's foot 5 and the cube 4, as well as between the cube 4 and floor 6. The child's foot 5 then rests on the rubber hub 4, which is immobilized by its underside resting on the floor 6, as seen in figure 2.

Game ball that has an elastic outer layer whose envelope, in a non-deformed state, is conducive to rolling, characterized in that the outer layer is formed by a foam block and because the ball internally comprises a rigid core whose shape is not suitable for rolling, the rigid core being made of a material hard enough to perform the anti-rolling function but at the same time flexible enough so that said core can slightly deform and erase its edges in the event of a person falling on the ball. 2.
