Abstract

A hinge-lid box for cigarettes is designed such that box side walls ( 18, 19 ), and lid side walls ( 23, 24 ) comprise two sections which are directed at an angle in relation to one another, that is to say are designed in an approximately roof-shaped manner. The cross section of the pack is shaped in adaptation to the pack contents, namely to a cigarette group in which a central row has a larger number of cigarettes than the two outer rows.

Description

Folding box for cigarettes.

The invention relates to a folding box for cigarettes or other elongated objects, which is constituted by a cutting thin cardboard or similar packaging material for training of the part of the box and by a lid connected to this part of the articulated box in the area of a rear wall of the box, in which the part of the box is constituted by a wall front of the box, a rear wall of the box, a wall of bottom as well as two opposite side walls of the box between yes and the cover consists of a front wall of the cover, a back wall of the lid, a front wall and two walls sides of the cover that are connected, in the closed position, in the side walls of the box, in which the side walls they are also formed by two wall arms directed towards each other roof-shaped under an obtuse angle with a central edge or central rounding and are constituted in each case by flaps outer sides or side flaps on the lid and flaps inner sides or side flaps of the lid.

It is known through the document IT-U-00230022 a folding layer of the preceding embodiment. In this state of the art, the side walls and the side walls of the lid are consisting of two layers continuously, namely flaps outer sides folded in the form of a roof or flaps side of the lid and by internal side flaps or corresponding cover side flaps about the same width. In this way, the container manufacturing, since mechanically it is difficult to alignment of the central edges of the side flaps indoor and outdoor and often leads to displacement and, therefore, to poor packaging.

The invention has the task of proposing a folding box especially for cigarettes, which guarantees, in virtue of cross section configuration, an adaptation optimal to the contents of the container.

For the solution of this task, the box folding according to the invention is characterized by following features:

to)

     the inner side flaps have only half of the width of the side walls or side flaps outer and side flaps of the lid,

b)

     the inner side flaps rest on the inner side of the respective side wall exclusively on the associated arm of the wall,

C)

     the side flaps are connected to the arm of the wall.

Under the configuration and arrangement of the side flaps in the area of the part of the box and the cover is possible an exact industrial manufacture in machines of high capacity container, namely, through the provision of the inner side flaps only in the area of one of the Two sides of the wall.

Other features and details of the box folding according to the invention as well as the cuts for the manufacturing of it are explained in detail below with the Help of the drawings. In this case:

A folding box is preferably used for cigarette housing 10. A group of cigarettes 11 is surrounded by an inner wrap 12 of paper, tin or the like. A block of cigarettes formed in this way forms the content of the folding box

A folding box is constituted, in the basic structure, on one (bottom) part of box 13 and on one cover 14. Cover 14 is connected in an articulated manner through a joint 15 with the part of the box 13. The part of the box 13 is constituted by a front wall of the box 16, a wall rear of the box 17, narrow side walls of the box 18, 19 as well as a bottom bottom wall 20. In a way correspondingly, the cover is constituted by a front wall of the lid 21, a rear wall of the lid 22, side walls of the cover 23, 24 and a front wall 25. The joint 15 connect the rear wall of the cover 22 with the rear wall of the box 17.

In addition to a folding box belongs a necklace 26. This is constituted here by a special court (for example, Figure 4). The collar 26 forms a front wall of the collar 27 and collar flaps 28. Collar 26 is fixed inside the part of the box 13 (through gluing), such that a section upper part is projected from the part of the box 13 and is surrounded by the lid when the folding box is closed.

A particularity of the present folding aja is that it is adapted in the form of the section across the corresponding configuration of the side walls 18, 19; 23, 24, to the contour of the content of the container, namely the shape of the group of cigarettes 11. The walls sides of the part of the box 13 and the lid 14 are configured for this purpose essentially in the form of a roof, in any case with two wall sides 29, 30 directed under a angle (obtuse) with each other. In the specific embodiment, the side walls are constituted by two sides of wall 29, 30 of the same size, directed at each other under an obtuse angle, is that is, configured in the form of a wedge or in the form of a roof.

The embodiment example according to the Figures 1 to 4 is configured with a sharp edge in the contours. The side walls 18, 19; 23, 24 form in a transverse plane imaginary half of the folding box a central edge 35 directed out. In its area the two sides of the wall converge 29, 30. In a preferred manner, the two sides of the wall are directed under an angle (interior) of 120º (approximately). Also I know creates an optimal shape of the container because also the two angles (interior) between the sides of the wall 29, 30, on the one hand, and the front wall or the back wall of the container, on the other part, they have 120º (approximately).

The side walls of the box 18, 19 as well as the side walls of the collar 23, 24 are constituted by side flaps 31, 32 or by side flaps of the lid 33, 34 corresponding. These are adjacent to each other when the folding box is finished and they are connected to each other by means of gluing or thermal sealing.

In this folding box, the flaps outer sides 31 and in the same way the side flap outside of the lid 33 extend over the entire width of the container or side walls 18, 19; 23, 24. This flap outer side 31 or the side flap of the lid 33 are provided for this purpose with a fold line that extends (approximately) in the center for the formation of the central song 35. The inner side flap 32 or the side flap of the lid 34 has a clearly smaller width than the flap outer side 31 or the side flap of the lid 33. How to deduced especially from figure 14, the flaps inner sides extend only in the area of one side directed from the wall 29 of the outer side flaps, to know, approximately to the central ridge 35. In this area, the inner and outer side flaps are connected between yes.

The cut (figure 3) is configured so special according to the contour of the folding box. How is it usual, the front wall of the box 16, the bottom wall 20, the rear wall of the box 17, the rear wall of the lid 22, the front wall 25 and the front wall of the lid 21 are placed as joined consecutively within the cut. The flaps outer sides 31 are positioned laterally on the wall front of the box 16, the outer side flaps of the lid 33 are placed in a corresponding way on the wall front cover 21 and side flaps (narrow) 32 or either the side flaps of the cover 34 are placed in the back wall of box 17 or on the back wall of the lid 22. On the free side of the front wall of the lid 21, find an inner flap of the lid 37, which is folded in the folding box towards the inner side of the front wall of the cover 21.

The bottom wall 20 and the front wall 25 are adapted to the contour of the folding box, namely configured with lateral edges 38 in the form of a roof. These lateral edges join with the upper marginal areas and bottom of the side walls of the lid 23, 24, by a part, and the side walls of the box 18, 19, on the other part, and rely specifically on positive union.

The angular flaps, namely the flaps angles of the bottom 39 and the angular flaps of the lid 40 are Specially configured. These are planned as extension of the inner side flaps 32, on the one hand, and of the inner side flaps of the cover 34, on the other hand. The angle flaps 39, 30 are configured so trapezoidal under adaptation to the outer contour of the flaps sides 32, 34 and the contour of the bottom wall 20 and the wall front 25. The angular flaps 39, 40 are separated at each case by means of a stamped cut 41 directed inclined from the bottom wall 20 and front wall 25, respectively. The angle flaps 39, 40 extends accordingly only about half the width of the bottom wall 20 or of the associated front wall 25. When the folding box is finished (Figure 1), the angular flaps 39, 40 rest on one position directed inclined on the inner side of the bottom wall 20 or well of the front wall 25 and are connected with them.

The collar 26 is adapted to the contour of the cross section of the folding box. To this end, the flaps of collar 28 are provided with an intermediate edge 42, which It is located in the central edge area 35 of the side walls. The intermediate edge 42 is preformed by means of a line of corresponding fold in the collar flap area 28 (figure 4).

The geometric configuration of the folding box allows a special formation of the group of cigarettes 11. As can be deduced from figures 14 to 17, the cigarettes 10 are arranged in three series 43, 44, 45. The cigarettes 10 of the series 43 , 44, 45 adjacent are placed offset from each other (the so-called seating position). The central series 44 has a greater number of cigarettes 10, namely, for example, eight cigarettes 10, and the two outer series 43, 45 have seven cigarettes 10. In this way, a content of the package is obtained, namely a block of cigarettes, which adapts optimally to the contour of the cross section of the container. Also the inner wrap 12 follows this contour of the container and the contents of the container (figure
14).

A special frontal fold formed above the inner wrap 12 is constituted in the wall area front of the box 16 by an outer longitudinal flap 46 of trapezoidal shape and adjacent to the back wall of box 17 by an internal longitudinal flap 47 configured so corresponding trapezoidal. In the area of the side walls of the box 18, 19, the inner wrap 12 forms a usual overlap 48. The inner wrap 12 is folded here under the formation of two angle shields 49, 50 partially coated. These are folded in each case from the side areas of the envelope interior 12, aligned in the same way with each other in the form of roof, inside towards the extreme surfaces of the 10 cigarettes (figure 14).

In the exemplary embodiment according to the Figures 5 to 8, the central edge is configured in the zone of the side walls 18, 19 or 23, 24 under adaptation to outline and dimension of a cigarette 10 as a round edge or as central rounding 51. The container or the side walls are adapt in this area to the shape of cigarette 10 and, specifically, to the respective outside cigarettes in the central series zone 44. The vertical edges of the container 52, 53 in the area of the transition of the side walls 18, 19 or 23, 24 in the front wall and rear wall are configured in this exemplary embodiment at an angle or at an angle (interior) of approximately 120º.

The cut according to figure 7 is adapted to this form of the container. For rounding formation  central 51 in the area of the part of the box 13 and the cover 14, the side flaps 31 and the side flaps of the lid 33 are provided with prints for rounding formation, to know, in each case with a group of 54 stamped notches parallel. In a corresponding manner, collar 26 is configured according to figure 8, namely in the same way with a group of notches 54 instead of intermediate edge 42. The collar 26 binds accordingly in the area of the flaps of the collar 28 to the central roundings 21 of the part of the box 13 and of the cover 14.

The bottom wall 20 and the front wall 25 are adapted to the contour of the cross section of the container and they have tongue-shaped projections 55 on the sides narrow, with a rounded tip that adapts to rounding central 51.

The folding box according to figures 9 a 12 is also adapted in the area of the edges of the container to contour of the contents of the package and, specifically, through angular roundings 56, 57 as a transition between the walls lateral 18, 19 or 23, 24, on the one hand, and the walls front 16, 21 or the rear walls 17, 22, on the other part. The cut for this type of package is configured in one corresponding form (figure 11). Outer side flaps 31 of the part of the box 13 and in a corresponding way the outer side flaps of the lid are provided with two groups of notches 58, 59, which are constituted in each case by a plurality of parallel notches. The 58 notch groups serve for the formation of angular roundings 56 on the side front of the container and the group of notches 59 serves for the central rounding formation 51.

For the formation of angular roundings rear 57 groups of notches 60 are formed in the area of the rear wall of the box 17 and the rear wall of the lid 22, respectively and, in particular, in each case approximately in extension of the groups of notches 58. The bottom wall 20 and the front wall 25 are configured according to the contour of the container, so that the tongue-shaped projections 55 they present central roundings in correspondence with the roundings central 51 and also pass with marginal roundings 61 to the cut, in a way adapted to angular roundings 56, 57.

The angular flaps, namely the flaps angles of the bottom 39 and the angular flaps of the lid 40, are delimited, unlike the described embodiments above, by an intermediate space 62 in the form of a groove of the bottom wall 20 and the front wall 25, so that the Angular flaps 39, 40 are trapezoidal figures.

The three embodiments differ each other with respect to the dimensioning of the side flaps interior 32 and the side flaps of the cover 34. In the example according to figures 1 to 4 or the figure 15, the inner side flap 32 and 34, respectively, extends to the central edge 35, which exerts an adjustment action with with respect to the exact position of the side flaps 32, 34. In the embodiment examples according to figures 16 and 17, the side flaps 32, 34 are configured with one more width reduced, so that they end up outside the zone of central roundings 51.

In a similar way it is applied to the flaps outer sides 31, 33 than these in the examples of embodiment according to figures 15 and 16 extend approximately to the adjacent edges of the container 52, while that these flaps in the example according to figure 15 end outside the area of angular rounding 57.

Claims (3)

1. Folding box for cigarettes (10) or other elongated objects, which is constituted by a cut of thin cardboard or similar packaging material for the formation of the part of the box (13) and by a lid (14) connected to it part of the box articulated in the area of a rear wall of the box (17), in which the part of the box (13) is constituted by a front wall of the box (16), a rear wall of the box (17), a bottom wall (20) as well as two side walls of the box (18, 19) opposite each other and the lid (14) is constituted by a front wall of the lid (21), a wall rear of the lid (22), a front wall (25) and two side walls of the lid (23, 24) that are connected, in the closed position, to the side walls of the box (18, 19), in the that the side walls (18, 19; 23, 24) are further formed by two wall arms (29, 30) directed to each other in the form of a roof under an obtuse angle with a central edge (35) or central rounding (51) and are constituted in each case by outer side flaps (31) or side flaps of the lid (33) and inner side flaps (32) or side flaps of the lid (34), characterized by the following characteristics

     the inner side flaps (32, 34) have only the half the width of the side walls (18, 19; 23, 24) or either of the outer side flaps (31) and the flaps cover sides (33),

b)

Folding box according to claim 1, characterized in that in the side walls (18, 19; 23, 24) with central rounding (51), the inner side flaps (32, 34) only extend in the area of a associated arm of the wall (29, 30) to the marginal zone of the central rounding (51). 3. Folding box according to claim 1, characterized in that angular trapezoidal flaps, namely angular bottom flaps (39) and / or angular flaps of the lid (40) are only placed in the area of the flaps inner sides (32, 34) on these and rest in an inclined position on the inner side of the bottom wall (20) or front wall (25).
