Abstract

The invention relates to a mobile unit which is used for offshore fish fattening and transportation. The inventive unit is stabilised using semi-submerged support columns while the central body thereof is under water. The aforementioned central body is shaped like a catamaran and is equipped internally with a continuous longitudinal cage or pool which is used to grow and fatten fish. When the mobile unit is anchored, the cage is lowered from the base thereof for deployment and, when the unit is moving, the cage is hoisted up until it is level with said base by means of capstans which are located in the support columns. The unit is anchored by means of a capstan which is guided through a central support column, such that said unit can move around a fixed point.
