Abstract

In a process to make food bags for e.g. fruit and vegetables, a plastic web (1) advances over a cutting bench in which windows are die-cut at pre-determined positions. The windows are closed by plastic nets (4) heat-welded in position. The web is then folded and heat-welded along the sides to be closed, forming a food bag.

Object of the invention

The present invention relates to improvements introduced in the Spanish invention patent with number of application 200200417, consists of a continuous band for manufacture of bags for fruit and vegetable products and Similar.

More specifically the improvements of the invention focus on a new application of the aforementioned continuous band, specifically for the closure of typical nature trays plastic used in the marketing of fruits and the like, in all those cases in which an aeration of the tray while the partial closure of it retains the product contained in it, together with any type of informative impression

Background of the invention

The continuous band of the invention patent 200200417, is constituted from a sheet, likewise continuous, of plastic, initially closed, in which it is determined a longitudinal alignment of sectors, dimensionally consistent with the size of the bags to obtain, so that in each of these sectors are configured one or more windows, which are closed by net fragments, fixed to the plastic sheet by thermo-welding, so that these windows with network fragments constitute the interior aeration zones of the bags to be obtained with the continuous band, while allowing the visualization of the interior of them, while the rest of the continuous plastic sheet, the unaffected by said windows, offers each bag a large printing capacity to while greater protection against the effects of light, for the products contained in the bag.

On the other hand, the use is also known of small plastic trays, for the commercialization of cited fruit and vegetable products and others, usually in doses lower, so that these trays are closed in some cases with the collaboration of a plastic and retractable sheet that adapts to products housed in the tray and is fixed to the face bottom of it, while in other cases the tray is closes by means of a single-piece extension thereof, based on own constituent material of the tray, which together with this last through a hinge is fixed to the mouth of it by pressure coupling.

In the first case the closure that occurs for the tray is completely waterproof, which prevents aeration of the content of the same, aeration that in many cases is convenient or essential, and in the second type of tray, to avoid exactly the same problem, we usually proceed to use trays whose lid is perforated, with holes properly distributed for ventilation.

Both in one and another case by closing characteristics it is impossible to perform directly impressions on the cover, so that when necessary incorporate some kind of information into it resort to complementary labels, with the consequent higher costs that this entails and with the possibility, specifically in the second case, that these labels obtain the aeration holes.

Description of the invention

The improvements proposed by the invention, in line structure of the invention patent 200200417 above cited, solve the problem inherent to the type packaging tray reflected in the previous paragraph.

To do this and more specifically these improvements they consist of using as a closing lid for these trays a continuous band with the structure shown in the patent invention 200200417, ie a continuous plastic sheet, duly printed, provided with windows that close by network fragments and that can be set in number of one or several for each tray, with any size and configuration that is deemed appropriate, fixing the continuous band to the mouth of the tray by any appropriate conventional procedure, such as for example by heat sealing, so that perfect retention is achieved for products housed in the tray, which are duly protected from the environment that surrounds them, but in conditions that the fruit or product of which Try to perspire.

According to another improvement of the invention, said continuous sheet can be closed on itself, materializing in a tube, by longitudinal welding, so that said sheet, instead of being fixed to the mouth of the tray, houses said tray inside and closes by its ends through two lines of transverse heat welding.

Preferred Embodiment of the Invention

In view of the figures outlined, especially from figures 1 to 3, it can be seen how the band continues according to the improvements of the invention, is constituted from a sheet (1), continuous, of plastic, of width coinciding with the requirements of the mouth of the trays (2) whose closure is destin, sheet (1) along which sectors are defined adjacent dimensionally appropriate to said trays (2), in each of which at least one window (3) is established, that in the example of practical implementation chosen adopts a quadrangular and centered layout, but which can be adopted any other configuration and arrangement, even being multiple, being in any case said window (3) destined to remain closed, by thermo-welding, with a fragment network (4), which can optionally affect each individual window (3), together with all the windows of a sector corresponding to a tray (2), or to all the windows of the continuous band (1), as shown in the figure 2.

The continuous band thus structured is intended to fragment so that each of the sectors obtained from it adapts and fixes to the mouth of a tray (2), after filling it, joining said mouth by thermo-sealed, so that the different trays (2) are properly closed to protect the products contained inside, but with aeration capacity or ventilation through the window or lattice windows (3-4), so that the products housed in your inside can perspire.

Obviously and as shown in Figure 3, the entire surface of the continuous band (1) not affected by the windows (3), can be used to incorporate the cover of the trays (2) of printed information (5), of any kind that deemed convenient, information that can be implemented in the continuous band (1) in origin, for example at the same time as they are punched in it the windows (3), with the consequent saving that it supposed.

According to the embodiment variant practice represented in figure 3, the continuous sheet (1) can materialize in a tubular body (1 ') of suitable dimensions to accommodate tightly inside the trays (2), whose effect the sheet (1) closes on itself by a line of longitudinal welding (6), tubular body in which the  minus the same window (3) with the same network fragment (4), preferably located in opposition to the welding line (6), sealing and independence between trays (2) being carried out, at length of the tubular body (1 '), using lines of transverse thermo-welding (7) that determine, in each module of the tubular body, a receptacle essentially closed, which fits tightly inside the tray (2) and which has the same aeration zone (3-4) that in the previous case.

Improvements introduced in the invention patent 200200417 for "Continuous belt for manufacturing bags for fruit and vegetable products and the like", characterized in that they consist in the application of said continuous band to the closing of plastic trays, containers of said products, so that the plastic sheet (1) that constitutes the base element of the continuous band, with its windows (3) closed by means of net fragments (4) is fixed to the mouth of the tray (2) by heat sealing, leaving the Products contained in said tray properly protected but at the same time properly aerated so that they can perspire. 2.
