Abstract

The horizontal e.g. tub hot dryer has a constant uniform heat distribution system not requiring removal of the staves of the tub. The machine is fully mechanized and automated.

Description

Horizontal roasting machine inside barrels, barrels or vats in general.

Although diverse systems are already known for the wine aging, quality wine aging is being done in vats, barrels or barrels of wood, preferably of wood of oak, although other kinds of wood are not excluded.

In the current state of the art, the applicant unknown a highly effective and reliable system for roasting uniform inside barrels, barrels or vats in general.

With the machine object of the invention a uniform roasting of the inside of the barrels controlled in a way effective and reliable with a fully mechanical solution and Automated that minimizes external conditions and manual interventions of operators.

The machine according to the invention is based on applying a source of heat steadily and uniformly throughout the inner surface of the barrel without dismantling its staves, said application being made with the barrel arranged in direction horizontal to achieve uniform toasting. It consists of:

to)

a fixed frame-frame, with means to support horizontally to the barrel and move it in rotation at a speed constant in order to evenly roast its entire surface internal perimeter;

b)

at least one source of heat that, mounted on a mobile frame, reaches successively entire inner surface of the barrel or retracts relative to it in its linear displacement along a coaxial or parallel OX axis to that of the barrel and in the longitudinal direction of its you hurt

c)

means for provide the said mobile frame with a linear displacement of the heat source (s) that determines the intensity of roasting in conjunction with the intensity of the (s) heat source (s); so that, without the barrel of, at least one of its bases, its uniform internal roasting is carried out with different intensity depending on the exposure time to the source (s) of heat in a complete path of forward / reverse of the mobile frame.

In particular:

to)

the aforementioned means to support the barrel horizontally are pairs of wheels mounted on two shafts, at least one of which is a motor for shift it at constant speed (pre-controlled from a motor-reducer) by belt or transmission equivalent;

b)

the) cited heat source (s) are burners of solid, liquid or gaseous fuel that provide a power constant heat, or substantially constant pre-controllable at will;

c)

the aforementioned means to provide the said mobile frame with a linear displacement of the heat source (s) constitute paths tubular guides, in solidarity with the fixed frame and in which they move paths conjugated guides that are part of the own mobile frame. This displacement can be manual or mechanized (making one of these guides motor, associated, by example, to a pinion / rack mechanism to provide a reciprocating linear displacement to the source (s) of heat, at constant speed pre-controlled)

With the machine object of the invention the Automatic and uniform toasting inside the barrels. Saying roasting system is reliable and effective, since it is definitely a fully mechanical and automated solution in which you don't need the intervention of operators (or this is reduced to minimum) and in which nothing is left to chance or circumstances environmental.

To better understand the purpose of this invention, a preferred form of practical realization, susceptible to accessory changes that do not distort its foundation.

Figure 1 represents in general schematic in perspective a horizontal roasting machine interior of barrels, barrels or vats in general according to the invention, with its main components in an assembly structural -not limiting- of operation -including a barrel (B) in the roasting operating position.

Figure 2 represents an overview schematic in perspective similar to the previous one, from an angle opposite elevation and devoid of the barrel (B).

Figure 3 represents an overview schematic in perspective profile similar to the previous ones and also devoid of the barrel (B).

An example of practical, non-limiting embodiment of the present invention.

The horizontal roasting machine inside of barrels, barrels or vats in general according to the invention is based in applying heat consistently and uniformly throughout the inner surface of the barrel (B) without dismantling its staves, just remove at least one of its bases to enable access and  longitudinal displacement of a head (3) carrying the corresponding heat source that roasts inside.

The machine according to the invention consists, basically, -see figures 1 to 3- of:

-

a frame / frame (1), fixed, with means (11) to support horizontally to the barrel (B) and means (12) to move it in rotation to a constant speed in order to uniformly toast all your internal perimeter surface;

-

a mobile rack (2) mounted with the possibility of moving linearly in said fixed frame (1), in which at least one source of heat (3), which successively reaches the entire inner surface of the barrel (B) or retracts with respect to it in its displacement linear along a coaxial OX axis or parallel to the barrel (B) and in the longitudinal direction of its staves.

In particular, and for the embodiment shown, the frame / frame (1) is a tubular structure with legs that continuously defines two distinct zones: one, wider (in which the means (11) are arranged to support the barrel (B) in a horizontal position and the means (12) for moving it in constant speed rotation) and another, narrower one, on which a sub-structure (1a) is arranged in which it moves linearly along a horizontal axis OX, the mobile frame (2) carrier of the power source (s)

For the embodiment represented:

The mobile frame (2) carrier of the source of Heat (3) is also a rod-tubular structure or not- housed in said sub-structure (1a) of the fixed frame (1) which, for this purpose, has at least one area tubular in which the mobile frame (2) moves linearly to the Be operated manually or mechanically.

Claims (5)

Machine for horizontal roasting of the interior of barrels, barrels or vats in general, characterized in that it is based on applying heat constantly and uniformly throughout the interior surface of the barrel without dismantling its staves, making such application with the barrel arranged horizontally; and because it consists of:

to)

a fixed frame-frame, with means to support horizontally to the barrel and move it in rotation at a speed constant in order to evenly roast its entire surface internal perimeter;

b)

at least one source of heat that, mounted on a mobile rack, successively reaches the entire interior surface of the barrel or retracts (n) from it in its displacement linear along a coaxial OX axis or parallel to that of the barrel and in the longitudinal sense of its staves;

c)

means for provide the said mobile frame with a linear displacement of the heat source (s) that determines the intensity of roasting in conjunction with the intensity of the (s) heat source (s); so that, without the barrel of, at least one of its bases, its uniform internal roasting is carried out with different intensity depending on the exposure time to the source (s) of heat in a complete path of forward / reverse of the mobile frame.

Machine for horizontal roasting of the interior of barrels, barrels or vats in general, according to previous claim, characterized in that said means for horizontally supporting the barrel are pairs of wheels mounted on two axes, at least one of which is driving to move it in constant speed rotation (pre-controlled from a motor-reducer) by belt or equivalent transmission. 3. Horizontal roasting machine inside barrels, barrels or vats in general, according to previous claims, characterized in that the said heat source (s) are solid, liquid or gaseous fuel burners that provide a power constant calorific, or substantially constant pre-controllable at will. 4. Machine for horizontal roasting of the interior of barrels, barrels or vats in general, according to previous claims, characterized in that said means for providing said mobile frame with a linear displacement of the heat source (s) constitute the guides tubular, in solidarity with the fixed frame and in which two conjugate guides that are part of the mobile frame itself move. 5. Machine for horizontal roasting of the interior of barrels, barrels or vats in general, according to claim four, characterized in that, additionally, at least one of said guides is driven, associated, for example, with a pinion / rack mechanism to provide a reciprocating linear displacement to the heat source (s), at a pre-controlled constant speed.
