Abstract
Prótesis capilar, esencialmente caracterizada porque el tul de finísimos hilos de fibra sintética y de pequeñísimas mallas, al que los pelos van atados, tiene alrededor de todo su contorno o sólo en parte de él, un pliegue formando un dobladillo, yendo unido el borde de la porción doblada, al propio cuerpo del tul, mediante una franja de pegamento que actúa a la vez de retención de los cabos de los hilos evitando que se deshilache, mientras que el dobladillo refuerza la débil consistencia del tul constituyendo la zona por la cual se implanta la prótesis sobre el cuero cabelludo o cabeza del usuario mediante cosido con sutura quirúrgica, permitiendo una adecuada tensión del tul que comporta los pelos, sin peligro de rotura ó deshilachado.
