Abstract

El ajuste del punto de funcionamiento de una desaladora de ósmosis inversa con bomba de alta presión centrífuga se realiza mediante la válvula de descarga de la bomba y la válvula de rechazo de la unidad de osmosis inversa. La primera, situada entre la bomba de alta presión y la unidad de osmosis inversa, infringe una pérdida energética proporcional al caudal de suministro y a la pérdida de carga provocada. Si se dispone de dos etapas o más, para adaptar caudal y presión a los requerimientos de la primera, se puede sustituir aquella válvula por otra que provoque un by-pass de esta primera etapa, logrando la presión adecuada y llevando el caudal sobrante a la segunda. La segunda etapa se alimenta con otra bomba que recoge los caudales de rechazo y de by-pass de la primera etapa, elevando la presión del fluido en función de su presión osmótica.
