Abstract
Inserto de corte, especialmente placa reversible para la mecanización por arranque de virutas de piezas de trabajo metálicas, con al menos un corte (3, 6) y al menos una cavidad de arranque de virutas (4) que flanquea el corte (3, 6), rebajada en la superficie de arranque de virutas (1) para la formación de la viruta resultante y para la conducción de la viruta saliente, separada de la pieza de trabajo, donde la superficie de la cavidad de arranque de virutas (4) está configurada asimétricamente hueca, caracterizado por un perfil de la sección transversal de la cavidad en forma de arco ovalado similar a un arco de una elipse, en la que la asimetría del perfil de la sección transversal resulta a partir de que la sección transversal del perfil está curvada menos fuertemente en la dirección del eje principal (8) y del eje secundario (10) de la cavidad de arranque de virutas (4) sobre su lado dirigido hacia la punta de corte (2) y hacia el corte (3, 6) que sobre su lado alejado de la punta de corte (2) y del corte (3, 6).
