Abstract

Non-return device for vertical tubular bubble absorbers, which consists of a flange (1) and non-return valves (2). The flange has a number of threaded holes (4) passing through it equal to the number of tubes (5) in the absorber and concentric with them, and an internal recess (3) where the absorbent liquid arrives. Each non-return valve is formed from a valve body (7) inside which is a plug (8), a washer (9) and a clip (10). The non-return valves permit steam to pass upwards when the plug (8) rises and prevents the absorbent liquid from passing downwards when the plug is lowered and sealed with the washer (9). The clip (10) prevents the plug rising from inside the valve.<IMAGE>
