A dosing pump (2) on the air exit duct (5) is programmed to periodically pulse disinfectant or cleaning agent into the air exit duct from a storage vessel (3). A disinfection device for an air conditioning system (1) comprises a dosing pump positioned on the air exit duct and operated using power from the air conditioning device (4).
