Abstract

Los complejos binucleares de hidruro metálico, útiles como catalizadores para la polimerización de monómeros se preparan por reacción del complejo mononuclear bajo hidrógeno a una temperatura y presión específicas. La invención se refiere al os complejos binucleares de hidruro metálico de escandio, itrio, lantano o un metal lantanoide. Un complejo binuclear de hidruro metálico (I) es de fórmula (I). M = escandio, itrio o un metallantanoide; R = H halógeno 1-20XC alquilo, 3-10C cicloalquilo, 6-15C arilo o 3-30C organosililo o dos grupos R adyacentes pueden formar un grupo heterocíclico o cíclico 4-18C; Z = SiR'', -CR''2, -GeR''2-, -SnR''2-, -BR''- o -O_; m = 1 o 2; X = -O-, -S-, -NR''''-, -PR''''-, -OR''''-, -SR''''-, -NR''''2 o -PR''''2, R'''' = H, 1-20C alquilo, 3-10C cicloalquilo, 6-15C arilo, 1-10C alquil-6-10C arilo o 3-30C organosililo, 6-15C arilo o 1-10C alquilo-6-10C-arilo. La invención se refiere también a u(i9 un procedimiento para la preparación de (I) por reacción de un complejo mononuclear metálico (II) de formula 2 en presencia de hidrógeno a 1.5-100 bares y 0-100 grados C; y (ii) un procedimiento para la producción de (co)polímeros por copolimerización de monómeros polares en presencia de (I).
