Abstract

Procedimiento de extracción y purificación de tocoferoles naturales y esteroles por esterificación con trimetilol propano, que consiste en una esterificación especialmente catalizada con el fin de conseguir convertir los ácidos grasos presentes en el destilado de desodorización en esteres de alto peso molecular de poca volatilidad y que por tanto en una destilación selectiva permanezcan en el residuo de la misma, efectuándose la esterificación de ácidos grasos utilizando como alcohol trimetil- ol-propano, y como catalizador ácido hipofosforoso, así como en la dilución se emplea metanol en la proporción de 1 a 7 y el centrifugado o filtrado a -30°C, realizándose la destilación molecular para separar ésteres de ácidos grasos y trimetil-ol- propano, de tocoferoles, esteroles e hidrocarburos, realizándose la destilación molecular para purificar los tocoferoles.
