Abstract

Based on a probe (1) with a hollow body (2), that can be connected to a hole (13) in the wall (4) of the container or pipe, within which is a pair of electrodes or sensor wires (3) which project into the said container or pipe and are fixed axially by means of a conical bush (5) which is contracted radially on screwing down a cap (8) screwed onto the outer end of the body (2) of the probe and through which pass the cables (5) that connect the electrodes (3) to the control and interpretation unit for the data obtained, the improvements consisting in providing the cap (8) with a very small hole (10) for the electric cables (9) to pass so that the base of the cap (8) forms a retaining stop for the electrodes (3) if they become loose and secondly in fixing the body (2) of the probe to the wall (4) by means of a nut (12) which screws into the hole (13) and pulls the body (2) of the probe axially against a circumferential stop (14) in the latter.
