Abstract

Procedure for eliminating and destroying nitrate from water involves two different stages, in first of which the nitrate is eliminated or withdrawn from raw water, concentrating it in a much smaller fraction of water and a second stage of destruction which handles the fraction of raw water. In the second stage, the dissolved nitrate is transformed into nitrate gas. The first stage is constituted by an ionic interchange with specific resin to eliminate the nitrate. The second stage involves an electro-chemical process using specific electrodes with specific resin to eliminate the nitrate.
