Abstract

LA INVENCION SE REFIERE A UN PROCEDIMIENTO PARA ALCANZAR RAPIDAMENTE LA TEMPERATURA DE ACTIVACION DE UN CATALIZADOR SITUADOS EN LAS PROXIMIDADES DE UN MOTOR, EN UN MOTOR DE COMBUSTION CON ENCENDIDO EXTERIOR. DURANTE EL ARRANQUE EN FRIO SE ENRIQUECE LA MEZCLA DE LA CARGA Y SE SUPRIME EN UN CILINDRO EL ENCENDIDO, DE MANERA QUE LA CARGA DE ESTE PASA SIN ENCENDERSE AL TUBO DE GASES DE ESCAPE ANTES DEL CATALIZADOR. ENCENDIENDO LA MEZCLA COMBUSTIBLE ANTES DEL CATALIZADOR, LA LLAMA PENETRA EN EL CATALIZADOR Y LO CALIENTA RAPIDAMENTE HASTA LA TEMPERATURA DE ARRANQUE. PARA ENCENDIDO SE PUEDE UTILIZAR VENTAJOSAMENTE LA LLAMA QUE SALE DE LA VALVULA DE ESCAPE DE UNO DE LOS CILINDROS QUE TENGA EL ENCENDIDO "RETRASADO". CON UN GASTO MINIMO DE APARATO SE CONSIGUE UN CALENTAMIENTO MUY RAPIDO DEL CATALIZADOR.
