Abstract
Algoritmo auto-organizativo para el análisis masivo de datos de expresión génica provenientes de experimentos de arrays de ADN, que comienza partiendo de una estructura compuesta por dos neuronas "hijas" conectadas a una neurona "madre", las cuales se componen por una lista de valores o perfil, inicialmente de datos aleatorios. El algoritmo, en una serie sucesiva de ciclos, va dividiendo el conjunto de datos en subconjuntos. Cada uno de los ciclos consta de una serie de épocas en las que se presentan los datos a las neuronas terminales y éstas se van actualizando. Cuando entre dos épocas consecutivas la actualización producida está por debajo de un cierto nivel mínimo preestablecido, se considera que la red ha convergido en ese ciclo y se decide si la red debe seguir creciendo o si ya ha acabado de crecer, en cuyo caso se da por finalizado el proceso o algoritmo.
