Abstract

UN SISTEMA DE AUMENTO PARA UNA PROTESIS OSEA IMPLANTABLE, COMO EL COMPONENTE FEMORAL DE UNA PROTESIS ARTICULAR DE RODILLA, QUE CONSTA DE UN BLOQUE DE AUMENTO CON UNA ABERTURA EN SU INTERIOR. EN ESTA ABERTURA HAY UN ANILLO CON UN EXTREMO DISTAL EXPANSIBLE QUE SE EXTIENDE HACIA AFUERA DE UNA DE LAS SUPERFICIES DEL BLOQUE DE AUMENTO. EL EXTREMO PROXIMAL DEL ANILLO INCLUYE UNA CAVIDAD ROSCADA QUE RECIBE UN TORNILLO FIJO QUE SE COMUNICA CON EL ANILLO PARA EXPANDIRLO Y CONTRAERLO.
