Abstract
Sistema electromagnético para la manipulación de fluidos. La tecnología propuesta permite la realización de sistemas formados por un equipo lector, que en determinadas aplicaciones simplemente actuará como controlador, y una tarjeta o cartucho que se introducirá en dicho equipo. El cartucho dispone de una serie de conductos y cavidades construidos a partir de una estructura laminar. Una o diversas áreas está cubiertas con una membrana elástica que a su vez contiene diversas áreas con material ferromagnético o imanes permanentes. El lector posee un conjunto de electroimanes que son activados desde un sistema electrónico cuando el cartucho es introducido. Estos electroimanes están dispuestos de forma que actúen selectivamente sobre cada una de las áreas magnéticas, provocando deformaciones en puntos concretos de la membrana elástica. Dichos puntos actuarán como válvulas o bombas de succión, permitiendo la circulación dé fluidos en el interior del cartucho, la succión de fluidos externos, o laexpulsión de fluidos hacia el exterior.
