Abstract

The conversion of e.g. textile dye effluent into gelatinous material comprises incorporation of a hydrophilic polymer of high water absorptivity. The polymer in the form of small grains, provides a very large evaporation surface after quantitative absorption of the effluent water. Thus evaporation is enhanced by a factor of ten to twenty, in the textile, ore working and oil milling industries.
