Abstract

The motor run-up device has a limiter for limiting the motor current (Im) or power to a maximum value and a start pulse circuit (18a,18b,18c) which inhibits the operation of the limiter for a timed duration after the start point of the motor (10). The start pulse circuit may limit the motor current or power to a second maximum value.
