Abstract

Uso de un agente en la preparación de un medicamento para la prevención o tratamiento de una infección entérica mediada por una SLT, en donde dicho agente es un soporte de afinidad inerte, sólido, farmacéuticamente aceptable, capaz de ser eliminado del tracto gastrointestinal, cuyo soporte tiene un ligando de afinidad enlazado covalentemente al mismo a través de un brazo separador, y en donde dicho ligando se caracteriza como un oligosacárido que contiene la subunidad disacárida Alfa Gal(1-4)Beta Gal que se une a la SLT; con la condición de que el disacárido no forma parte de un trisacárido Alfa Gal(1-4)Beta Gal(1-4)Beta GlcNAc o de un trisacárido Alfa Gal(1-4)Beta Gal(1-4)Beta Glc.
