Abstract

Fire extinguisher system and apparatus. The system, which propels extinguisher elements onto combustion areas, is characterised by the fact that said extinguisher agents are a gaseous mixture made up of air and suction gases, water vapour and spray water. The apparatus is characterised by the fact that the propulsion units for said extinguisher elements are made up of a frame (1) that holds a fan (2), which sucks and drives the air and gases from inside the local and at least one water spray unit (3), transforming it into water vapour when it comes into contact with air and the gases inside the local. It uses a minimum amount of water in comparison with previously known systems and usage of the system is practically instantaneous or with a minimum delay, to avoid it from being operated for false alarms.
