Abstract
The apparatus consists of a structure (1) with a core (4) and a pouring hopper (7) which can be closed by a cover (13) which forms a pressurisation dome (16). The core forms a channel in the propellant charge and is made in two sections, of which the upper tubular section (8) has an outer seal (17), an inner shutter (9) and at least one aperture (10) for the propellant to pass through in paste form. The outer seal comprises a shoulder which presses against an annular projection on the hopper, while the inner shutter is in the form of a valve which interacts with a seat inside the tube or a slide valve which closes the aperture (10). The baking procedure is carried out after pressurising the dome (16), and both the pouring and baking are isothermic in nature.
