UN DISPOSITIVO (10) INCLUYE UN FILTRO PARA EL PROCESAMIENTO DIGITAL Y EL FILTRADO DE LAS SEÑALES UTILIZADAS EN APLICACIONES DE CONTROL INDUSTRIAL. EL METODO SUMINISTRA UN FACTOR QUE SE UTILIZA POR EL FILTRO PARA PROCESAR LA SEÑAL DIGITAL EN LA ENTRADA (12) AL DISPOSITIVO (10). EL METODO DETERMINA SI EL CAMBIO EN LA SEÑAL DE ENTRADA ES DEBIDO TANTO AL RUIDO COMO A UN CAMBIO VALIDO DE LA SEÑAL. SE UTILIZA UNA INFORMACION QUE OTORGA UN ANALISIS DE LA TENDENCIA DE LA DIRECCION DE LA SEÑAL EN LA ENTRADA AL DISPOSITIVO. LA INFORMACION DE LA TENDENCIA INCLUYE UN FACTOR REPRESENTATIVO DE LA HISTORIA PASADA DE LA TENDENCIA. EL METODO UTILIZA EL INDICADOR DE TENDENCIA MAS RECIENTE PARA DETERMINAR HASTA UN GRADO RAZONABLE DE CERTEZA SI LA SEÑAL QUE SE ENCUENTRA ACTUALMENTE EN LA ENTRADA AL DISPOSITIVO ES O NO CARACTERISTICA DEL RUIDO.
