Abstract

The pivoting bolt (2), fixed to the inside of the window or door frame (1), pivots on an axle parallel to the axis of the window or door casement. When locked, the bolt grips over the casement (3). When open, the bolt swivels away from the swivel-path of the casement. An adjusting spring (6) counteracts the movement of the bolt. The fastening of the bolt to the frame consists of an U-shaped part (7) with a base (8) fixed to the frame. The base and sides (9) protrude orthogonally from the frame. The bolt has bars (10) parallel to, and guided on, the U-sides. A link bolt (11) goes through the bars and elongated holes (12) in the U-sides. The bolt edge (13) facing away from the casement rests on the base edge (14) facing away from the frame.
