Abstract

Process for detecting fungi and bacteria in air- conditioning ducts. Process for detecting fungi and bacteria used as sources for oligonucleotides with the following stages: a) sample collection using a swab and resuspension in distilled water, b) boiling of the sample, c) PCR reaction with the boiled sample in the presence of high concentrations of bovine serum albumin, d) analysis of the PCR reaction on agarose/etidium bromide gels using suitable controls. Through this method it is possible to detect the presence of fungi and/or bacteria in air-conditioning ducts rapidly, reliably and effectively.
