Abstract

Procedimiento para la obtención de proteínas inactivadoras de ribosomas, denominadas beetin 27 y beetin 29, de las hojas de Beta vulgaris (remolacha azucarera) infectadas con el virus de la amarillez. Se describe un procedimiento de obtención de dos proteínas inactivadoras de ribosomas denominadas beetins 27 y 29 de la planta Beta vulgaris a partir de un extracto obtenido del líquido intercelular de las hojas de Beta vulgaris infectadas con virus y no a partir de un extracto de la planta total. El procedimiento general para la obtención de las beetins de la presente invención, incluye las etapas que se indican a continuación: a) Obtención del extracto del líquido intercelular de hojas de dicha planta. b) Diálisis y desarrollo de una cromatografía de intercambio iónico de la proteína obtenida en la etapa anterior con un gradiente de sal. c) Cromatografía de exclusión molecular de los picos de proteína de la etapa anterior. Dichas proteínas tiene aplicación como inhibidoras de la biosíntesisde proteínas y como inactivadoras del ácido ribonucleico genómico del virus y tienen utilidad en la terapia del cáncer y del SIDA y de enfermedades víricas de las plantas.
