Abstract

Procedure for measuring energy flows through heterogeneous materials. Procedure based on sensing energy from a surface of a material carried out by means of cells covered with the finest possible layer of material and placed on a block of the same material. The contact between the cell and the stone is made via an interface of a material of high thermal conductivity such as zinc oxide mixed with silicone. A series of sensors situated respectively on the outer surface of the stone, in contact with the cell and inside the block of stone at different depths, detects the passage of energy through the material under study.
