Abstract
A linear actuator with a thermostatic operating element has an operating piston (12) which can be driven out and a casing (11) which is guided by means of a guide strut (16) of a holder (22) and is retained against the direction of extension of the operating piston by means of an overload spring (17), which is supported on the holder (22). The holder (22) is a substantially U-shaped sheet metal part, the legs (24, 25) of which are connected in the middle area to form the guide strut (16) and which comprise, at their other ends (26, 27) a support for the spring (17). A rod (18) extending the operating piston (12) projects through the transverse part (23) of the U-shaped metal holder. The casing (11) contains a wax mixture which expands with increasing temperature.
