Abstract

A process for treatment of at least one mixture of solid and liquid waste materials, which contains at least one metal, in particular Fe and/or compounds thereof, in particular oxides, the mixture being present in a state in which it is not to be used or used only with difficulty. This mixture is at least substantially homogenised and is mixed with at least one very fine grained, dry substance, which contains fly ash and/or coke, in an amount such that the resulting mixture is present in a consistency in which it can be classified, in particular sieved. Impurities can be removed in this manner. As a result of the handleability achieved in this manner, the mixture thus conditioned can be fed for reuse to a thermal process.
