Process for the manufacture of a vitamin-active powder comprising the introduction into a mass of amyloid powder of droplets of aqueous emulsion containing a vitamin-active fat-soluble material the maintenance of the particles of vitamin activity formed by said droplets in said powder separated from each other until the particle form has been established in a permanent manner and the separation of the particles of vitamin activity from said powder; said emulsion being of the kind in which the continuous phase constitutes an aqueous colloidal solution containing as main solid constituents material selected from the group consisting of gelatin and acacia gum and also material selected from the group consisting of sugars and sugar alcohols and in wherein the dispersed phase comprises mainly said liposoluble vitamin activity material; said amylaceous powder containing no more than about 8 percent moisture and being predominantly constituted by material selected from the group consisting of free-flowing starch and starch esters containing a hydrophobic group and resistant to wetting with water; said particles of amyloid powder having dimensions essentially smaller than said particles of vitamin activity.
