Abstract

Analog multiplier based on devices sensitive to the Hall effect. The difference between the output of two Hall effect sensors, subjected to the same magnetic induction, is a signal proportional to the product between the intensity of the applied magnetic field and the control signal, which will be a voltage or a current intensity. The magnetic induction may be made proportional to a voltage or current with a magnetic circuit (toroid, etc.) that concentrates the flow generated by a conductor. It will be used for multiplying two voltages, two currents, one voltage and one current or the intensity of a magnetic field by a voltage or current. There is a great degree of electrical separation between the two variables it is more economical the multiplication is direct (does not require transducers) it has great immunity and electromagnetic susceptibility, good performance with temperature. Additional circuits can be added to correct the differences between the performance of the two sensors.
