EL SISTEMA TRABAJA, EN TODO MOMENTO, EN REGIMEN TRANSITORIO Y CONTROLADO DE CRECIMIENTO DE LA BIOMASA.EL FANGO, EXTRAIDO EN SU PROPIO SOPORTE, PUEDE SER DEJADO ESCURRIR Y EVAPORAR, CONSIGUIENDO UNA DESHIDRATACION PRIMERO Y UNA DESECACION DESPUES; O BIEN, DIGERIDO AEROBIA O ANAEROBIAMENTE. ESTOS TRATAMIENTOS PERMITEN LA REUTILIZACION O EVACUACION DIRECTA DEL FANGO. SE PRESENTA COMO EJEMPLO LA SOLUCION PARA UN CONTACTOR BIOLOGICO ROTATIVO Y ALGUNOS RESULTADOS DE EXPLOTACION.THE INVENTION CONSISTS OF A WASTEWATER TREATMENT BIOFILM REACTOR; WHERE THE MUD DRAIN IS ARTIFICIALLY CAUSED BY DIRECT EXTRACTION FROM THE REACTOR, TOGETHER WITH ITS SUPPORT. THE SYSTEM WORKS, AT ALL TIMES, IN A TRANSITIONAL AND CONTROLLED REGIME OF BIOMASS GROWTH. THE MUD, DRAWN IN ITS OWN SUPPORT, MAY BE LETTING DRAIN AND EVAPORATE, GETTING A DEHYDRATION FIRST AND A DESICTION AFTER; EITHER, DIGESTED AEROBIC OR ANAEROBICALLY. THESE TREATMENTS ALLOW THE DIRECT REUSE OR EVACUATION OF THE MUD. THEREFORE, THE COMPLEMENTARY PROCESS OF SOLID-LIQUID SEPARATION, NORMALLY NECESSARY WATER BELOW THE BIOFILM REACTORS, CAN BE ELIMINATED. THE SYSTEM IS APPLICABLE TO DIFFERENT BIOFILM PROCESSES, SUCH AS: ROTARY BIOLOGICAL CONTACTORS, BACTERIAL BEDS, FLUIDIZED BEDS, AERATED BIOFILTERS AND AERATED SUBMERGED BEDS.
