SE CARACTERIZA PORQUE COMPRENDE; A) UNA LIXIVIACION ACUOSA DE LAS MATERIAS PRIMAS Y SEPARACION DE IMPUREZAS NO DISUELTAS, MEDIANTE DECANTACION, FILTRACION O CENTRIFUGACION; B) UNA CARBONATACION EN UNA O DOS ETAPAS DE LA DISOLUCION ASI OBTENIDA CON UN GAS QUE CONTENGA DIOXIDO DE CARBONO, EN PRESENCIA DE ADITIVO ADECUADO PARA CONTROLAR EL TAMAÑO DE PARTICULA DE PRECIPITADO RESULTANTE. COMPRENDE EL USO DE PRODUCTOS RESIDUALES PROCEDENTES DE PROCESOS DE FABRICACION DE ACETILENO A PARTIR DE CARBURO DE CALCIO COMO MATERIAS PRIMAS QUE CONTIENEN OXIDO O HIDROXIDO DE CALCIO. EL CARBONATO DE CALCIO PRECIPITADO OBTENIDO PRESENTA UN TAMAÑO DE PARTICULA FINAL MENOR DE DIEZ MICRAS, Y PREFERENTEMENTE ENTRE CERO Y DOS MICRAS.
