OXYTOCA CLON-15, ES CAPAZ DE UTILIZAR NITRATOS Y/O NITRITOS COMO FUENTE DE NITROGENO, POR LO QUE PUEDE SER UTILIZADA PARA LA ELIMINACION BIOLOGICA DE NITRATOS Y/O NITRITOS CONTENIDOS EN EFLUENTES INDUSTRIALES, AGUAS Y SUELOS CONTAMINADOS POR DICHOS COMPUESTOS, MEDIANTE UN PROCEDIMIENTO QUE COMPRENDE LA INOCULACION DE DICHOS EFLUENTES, AGUAS Y SUELOS CONTAMINADOS CON UN CULTIVO DE DICHA CEPA. A NEW STRAIN OF KLEBSIELLA OXYTOCA, IDENTIFIED AS K. OXYTOCA CLONE-15, IS CAPABLE OF USING NITRATES AND / OR NITRITES AS A SOURCE OF NITROGEN, SO IT CAN BE USED FOR THE BIOLOGICAL ELIMINATION OF NITRATES AND / OR NITRATES , WATERS AND SOILS CONTAMINATED BY SUCH COMPOUNDS, THROUGH A PROCEDURE THAT INCLUDES THE INOCULATION OF SUCH EFFLUENTS, WATERS AND SOILS CONTAMINATED WITH A CULTIVATION OF SUCH STOCK. THIS STRAIN IS ABLE TO DEGRADE, BOTH IN AEROBIC AND ANAEROBIC CONDITIONS, NITRATES AND / OR NITRITES PRESENT IN A CONCENTRATION OF UP TO 100 MM.
