EL PRESENTE INVENTO SE REFIERE A UN METODO Y A UN APARATO PARA BOMBEAR PULPA DE ALTA CONSISTENCIA, ESPECIALMENTE ADECUADA PARA BOMBEAR SUSPENSIONES DE FIBRA DE ALTA CONSISTENCIA EN LA INDUSTRIA PAPELERA. UNO DE LOS PROBLEMAS DE LAS TECNICAS EXISTENTES HA SIDO LA DIFICULTAD DE LLEVAR PULPA DE ALTA CONSISTENCIA AL PROPULSOR DE LA BOMBA DEBIDO A QUE ESTA PULPA DE ALTA CONSISTENCIA TIENDE A FORMAR FUERTES REDES DE FIBRA QUE DETIENEN LA CIRCULACION DE LA PULPA. EL METODO DESCRITO DA LA SOLUCION A ESTE PROBLEMA, DESCARGANDO LIQUIDO DE LA PULPA DURANTE EL PROCESO DE BOMBEO Y VOLVIENDOLO A ALIMENTAR A PULPA A BOMBEAR ANTES DEL BOMBEO. ESTE METODO ES POSIBLE POR UN APARATO EN EL QUE AL MENOS PARTES DE LAS SUPERFICIES DE LA BOMBA (1) ESTAN DOTADAS DE SUPERFICIES FILTRANTES (6,7,8,9,10) A TRAVES DE LAS CUALES EL LIQUIDO SEPARADO DE LA PULPA VUELVE DIRECTAMENTE FRENTE A LA ABERTURA DE SUCCION (11) DE LA BOMBA (1) O A ALGUN OTRO LUGAR ADECUADO EN LA COLUMNA DE MASA.
