Abstract

An internal rear-view mirror for a vehicle is described, having a support arm on which a mirror housing provided with a mirror glass is adjustably clamped, having an anti-dazzle device for the mirror glass, which device has a shaft (30) which is guided out through an opening in the mirror housing and bears a rotary knob (36) on its free end located outside the mirror housing. So that an infrared receiver can be placed inside a motor vehicle in a fashion which combines a low probability of being in shadow with a large angular receiving range, there is provision for the hollow, essentially cup-shaped rotary knob (36) to consist of a material which infrared radiation can permeate and for the receiving surface to enclose at least one infrared receiving diode (16). <IMAGE>
