Abstract
Channel for purging combustion gases of a boiler installation, the channel extending, seen overall, at least approximately horizontally and having heat exchangers, for heating water or the like, which are formed from a plurality of mutually parallel plates (6). In order to increase the efficiency in this case, and to load the plates (6) more uniformly, the plate ends of associated plates (6) are progressively offset with respect to one another at the transitions from one heat exchanger to the next or from one plate packet to the following one and, moreover, at the transitions the plate ends of an exchanger are offset with respect to the plate ends of the following exchanger in the opposite direction such that the plates (6) which are situated outermost delimit the transition above and below. <IMAGE>
