Abstract

Optometer which, comprising three optical parts corresponding to a projection system, an optotype test system and an analysing system, and an electronic module, analyses the image of an aperture projected in infrared onto the retina by means of an electronic sweep of the back of the latter, additionally superposing a visor to test the accommodation status, the electronic module sweeping the retinal image formed. As a function of the ametropia of the eye in question, the image on the retina of the narrow aperture projected in infrared will be a more or less narrow band which will be detected easily by focusing its image in a linear multiple photodiode sensor which in turn sends its electrical output to a signal- processing stage in order, once cleaned up, to subject it to a frequency transposition (translation) so that the frequency obtained is within the audible spectrum.
