Abstract

The ring-type bearing or support is for the linkage of spring strut suspension system for a motor vehicle or for a vibration absorber. The bearing consists of a body (2) made of rubber or plastics which is inserted in an outer ring (1) with a force fit. This body has a bore with internal recesses which receive the radial projections of a bush (4) fitted in the bore. The bush (4) is separated from the bore of the body (2) by a thin sheet of material with a low coefficient of friction. USE - Vibration damping support in vehicle suspension system.
